Accurate measurements are essential

Unlike generic seating systems, Testa-Seat is designed to mirror the body’s natural shape, forming an outer supportive shell that feels like a second skin. Our seats aren’t flat or rigid—they’re anatomically contoured to cradle the pelvis and trunk, providing 360° ergonomic support where it’s needed most.

Measuring Instructions

Accurate measurements are essential to ensure a comfortable, supportive fit. All measurements should be taken while your child is seated upright on a seat that fits him the best (including tilt/recline) or a flat surface.

Point-to-point measure

To get the correct fit, measure in straight lines. Do NOT measure around the body.

Stiff tool

Use a stiff ruler, a metal tape measure, or calipers. Do not use a soft sewing tape wrapped around the curves

Exact measures

Do not include extra length beyond the knee crease.

chart

Position: Seat the child naturally with legs relaxed. Do not squeeze legs together or spread them widely.

Measure: Place the tool straight across the widest part of the hips or upper thighs (usually just below the hip bone).

1. Seat Width (Hip Width)

Position: Seat the child naturally with legs relaxed. Do not squeeze legs together or spread them widely.

Measure: Place the tool straight across the widest part of the hips or upper thighs (usually just below the hip bone).

2. Chest Width (Axilla)

Position: Raise the child’s arms naturally to clear the chest area.

Measure: Place the tool straight across the chest from the outer edge of one armpit to the outer edge of the other.

3. Side Height (Seat to Axilla)

Position: Seat the child upright.

Measure: Place the ruler vertically against the side. Measure from the seat surface (directly below the armpit) straight up to the bottom of the armpit.

4. Seat Depth (Back to Knee)

Position: Bend the child’s knees naturally at 90 degrees.

Measure: Measure from the back of the buttocks (where they touch the backrest) forward to the crease behind the knee.

Note: Do not include extra length beyond the knee crease.

5. Back Height (Seat to Shoulder)

Position: Seat the child upright with head facing forward.

Measure: Measure vertically from the seat surface (at the buttocks) up to the top of the shoulder (base of the neck).

Note: Do not measure up to the head or ears.

6. Torso Depth (Chest Thickness)

Position: Raise the child’s arms naturally.

Measure: Measure horizontally from the seat back (spine) straight forward to the center of the chest.

7. Thigh Height

Position: Support the feet so legs are relaxed.

Measure: Measure vertically from the seat surface up to the highest point of the thigh.
