Cancellation policy
(Rentals, Subscriptions, and Pre-Orders)

Some items in our store, such as the Testa Seat Rental Program or Beta Batch releases, may be offered as a subscription or pre-order. This policy explains your rights and obligations when choosing these purchase options.
1. RENTALS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
When you purchase a subscription (e.g., "Monthly Rental"), you agree to recurring billing.

Recurring Charges: Your payment method will be charged automatically at the interval selected (e.g., every 30 days) until the subscription is officially cancelled.

Minimum Term: Some rental agreements may have a minimum commitment period (e.g., 3 months). If you cancel before this period ends, you may be charged an early termination fee equal to the remaining balance.
How to Cancel a Rental (Critical) Unlike a digital subscription, cancelling the billing on your account does not end your legal obligation.

Notification: You must notify us of your intent to cancel the rental via the customer portal or by emailing hello@testa-seat.com.

Return Required: Billing will NOT stop until the Testa Seat is returned to our facility.

Condition: The seat must be returned in good working condition (normal wear and tear accepted). If the seat is not returned, or is returned with irreparable damage, you will be charged the full "Buyout Price" of the unit.
2. PRE-ORDERS (BETA & WAITLIST ITEMS)
When you purchase a Pre-order (often labeled as "Beta Batch" or "Backorder"), you are buying a product that is not yet in stock or is currently in production.

Payment: We may collect a partial deposit or the full payment at checkout to secure your spot in the production queue.

Production Lock (Custom Items): If your pre-order includes custom specifications (measurements, specific modifications), you cannot cancel the order once production has begun.

Standard Pre-Orders: For non-custom items, you may cancel your pre-order for a full refund at any time before the shipping label has been created. Once the item has shipped, standard Return Policy rules apply.
3. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY
If offered, "Try Before You Buy" authorizes your payment method for the full amount but does not charge you until the trial period ends.

Decision Period: You have the specified trial period (e.g., 7 days) from delivery to decide.

Automatic Charge: If you do not initiate a return before the trial period ends, your card will be automatically charged for the full purchase price.

Returns: Items returned under this program must be in "Like New" condition. Damaged items will be charged in full.
4. FAILED PAYMENTS
If a recurring payment fails (for a rental or payment plan), we will attempt to charge the card again after 3 days. If payment fails repeatedly, we reserve the right to:

Suspend your account.

Demand immediate return of rented equipment.

Send the outstanding balance to a collections agency.
